Seamless, exhilarating, well-curated experience. My wife and I did the 2 day Petra/Wadi Rum tour organized by Mantis Tours and highly recommend them! We went in confidently since they had been recommended to us by friends who are very savvy travelers, and our expectations were more than met. Every aspect of the trip from the pickup at our hotel, through border crossings and the sites themselves went seamlessly and without stress. Needless to say, Wadi Rum and Petra are spectacular, but the experiences were curated perfectly by knowledgable, personable, and well-attuned guides. All around a great experience.

Scary but Cool We did this tour November 2022. The transaction at the border is kind of scary. Our guide couldn’t cross the border with us because he is not allowed on Arab territory. We had to look for someone else on the side of Jordan.
We met the other guy really easily and then he took us down to immigration for the paperwork. That transaction took 3 hours!!!! When we finally boarded the bus to go to the archeological park, it was close to noon, they took us to a store first another hour-two hours wasted, when we got to the park it was 2:30 p.m. and they closed at 5 I complained to the Arabs about their delays and their answer was, “you should’ve book another day to see the park in its entirety” Then I got it, they do it in purpose so you stay in Jordan several days to visit ruins that can take you 4 hours top!!! Unfortunately, if you want to visit Petra this is the only way to do it, there is no other option. Their government is very strict, doesn’t allow tourist on their own or renting a car. I found the experience a little pricey for the amount of things you can see in Petra. However, given the circumstances, this tour was good, safe, and easy to book. The Guide is funny, sometimes scary too lol, he has a particular sense of humor but he is very nice. He got us water, gift bags, picked us and dropped us off promptly. He was on time and wasn’t shady like everyone else. I recommend his tour, I wish someone can change their bureaucracy process from the Jordan side. Nice experience, but I wouldn’t do it again.

Amazing one day trip to Petra from Eilat We took a one-day trip from Eilat to Petra with Mantis Tour and had a great experience, everything worked out perfectly. They came to pick us up from the hotel to the Jordanian border, since we were a large group they invited a taxi as well so we had two cars. They gave us instructions on crossing the border and meeting up with the Jordanian tour operator, that was waiting from the other side. The Jordanian tour operator picked up about 50 people from different Israeli tour operators and was very professional and nice. The drive to Petra took about 2.5 hours. We stopped a couple of times and also got to try fresh Jordanian bread. Petra itself is amazing and the tour also included a meal at a local restaurant which was not very exciting and very full. However, the trip was really good value for the money.

Just one comment to any Israelis considering doing this trip. It is a game changer when traveling to Eilat, giving a feeling of traveling abroad. We were carrying Israeli passports, with children shouting n Hebrew, and felt very safe and comfortable throughout the trip. The Jordanians we encountered were very hospitable and excited to meet Israelis, most of the other travelers in our group were foreign non-Israelis, and we liked speaking with people from different countries.

Great way to visit spectacular sites From the pickup at our hotel room till our return every detail was handled seamlessly and thoughtfully. We did a two day private tour of Wadi Rum/Petra. From being shepherded through the border crossings, driven to our destinations, and both in the jeep tour of Wadi Rum and through the complex archeology of Petra each of our guides was knowledgeable and attentive to our personal styles.

Great Experience with Mantis Tours Lior put together a great trip for us in Petra (leaving from Eilat). All of the arrangements were professional and well done, from the border crossing, to the bus and guide services. We had a great time, and would use MantisTours again.

Amazing Jordan tour 3 days Jordan tour, 2 nights&3days. Little Petra was our favorite. Our tour guide in Jordan ”Metka” was best tourguide ever!! So much information in anything. And the driver!! We also had really nice, small group. Only minus was waiting 2hours in the border(because Ramsay did not tell info about how long we need to wait). Beduin camp is worth of upgrading, and we also did camel ride for second morning. So lovely. If you go off-season take WARM CLOTHES and hat&cloves! We were mid of february. Mornings was about +4 or less. There is also awesome nice cafe with the view in little Petra, go and explore. Everything went really well with Mantis tours. So caring and informative all the time and the little nice memories as well. So many, many thanks!!!

Well organized Petra and Wadi Rum tour, great guides and drivers Lior at Mantis tours did a great job organizing our 2 day Petra and Wadi Rum excursions from Eilat. He has the great connections at the border and in Jordan and he has a great sense of humour. He handed us over to person to navigate the border then we were transferred to the tour bus and our guide Karim. Karim took such great care of our group and was the kindest person who was so conscientious and considerate. The meals provided by the tour were fresh and delicious. Everything went smoothly and we were made to feel very welcome in Jordan.
The Wadi Rum Bedouin camp was an amazing experience with all the amenities you could want. Karim came with us on the desert tour and made sure we got the best views of Wadi Rum and we able to enjoy the beauty of the desert. I highly recommend the sunrise camel ride for a bit of an extra cost.

Amazing trip to Petra and Egypt We arrived to Eilat from where Lior organized for us 2 super tours, first day into the Petra mountains and then we departed to Cairo for a 2 days tour. Everything was perfectly coordinated bus, drivers, guides, entrance fees, lunch and dinners. We just enjoyed so much without any worries.
Lior took us to and from the borders and was in contact all the time.

Wonderful communication from Mantis Tours gave us a great trip to Petra We reached out to Mantis Tours to get a private tour of Petra. Lior was responsive and kept in touch with us every step of the way. We appreciate that we were able to schedule this tour last minute as we had been struggling to find a proper guide.

Lior explained the guide prices and bundled everything including:
- Cost of entrance to Petra
- Shuttle back/forth to hotel
- Border crossing fees and border crossing guide fees (which was required for some of us)
- as well as a lunch in Petra

The guide we were set up with was talkative and informative and all round very friendly. The driver to Petra and border was on time and everyone was very friendly. Overall this was a very well put together trip for us.

The amount of time we spent in Petra both walking down into the treasury as well as private time after the guided tour was all perfect and in line with both our expectations as well as what was agreed on. Hands down, if you need a guide to get you across the border between Israel and Jordan as well as guide in Jordan I highly recommend Mantis tours.

Memorable! Booking was easy with Lior. We opted for 2 days Petra plus 1 day Wadi Rum. Lior met us at the border and gave us detailed instructions for crossing the border. We were met on Jordan side by representative there, and then paired up with a driver for 2-3 days. All went smooth, Petra hotel was solid (what a buffet) and just minutes from Petra entrance. Wadi Rum was also a unique experience and we enjoyed it. Lior again met us upon return...he is such a character, you won't forget him! I gladly recommend Mantis Tours, and wouldn't hesitate to rebook with them in the future.

We like this company. We took the tour 16 February 2020 from Eilat to Petra. Everything was very good! Special thanks to Lior - a man in a hat for very good organisation . A wonderful lunch in a Jordanian restaurant was included compared to other operators who gave people boxes of food .. And thanks a lot for the gifts: branded magnet , bandana, water, a calendar with our photo and chocolate. A little details but pleasant!Thanks a lot! Great first time diving experiece We buy a tickets in Eilat beach from Lior for guided diving. We decided to pick up from the hotel at.9am next morning. Lior was waiting us front of the hotel as promiced and he took us to the diving center with his car. Guys in the center was really professionals! They give us a short lesson what to do, how to act in the water and so on. Diving goes really fine, views under water was amazing and it was totally new experiece, thank's because professional guides. After diving we stay on the nice beach and enjoy restaurant services and of course sun shine. A really worthwhile trip!! Thank's for Lior and Mantis Travels!

Great times in Jordan Everything was on time. The Lion's assistance at the reception in Eilat and at the Jordan border was excellent. The tours were fantastic with very attentive guides.

1 day extended private tour to Petra I was planning this day trip for quite some time but could not choose among several travel agencies which offer that option. In the end I've decided to go with Mantis Tours because it was the only company that offered me a private minivan in Jordan and an option to visit "Monastery" on the same day. The whole experience with Mantis was just brilliant, everything was arranged over email and messenger and on the day we were picked up by a very welcoming agency owner (I think). From that point everything is exceptionally was well organised, we went through a border crossing pretty quickly and met by lovely Jordanian team, very professional and friendly Ahmed and Musa. By the end of the day they became like family to us, I'm glad we had a chance to talk to them and ask about various aspects of local life. The whole trip was nicely timed and we were at the right spots at best times with less crowds. Without going in tedious details, I suggest everyone who is short on time yet wants to see best of Petra to use that tour option.

Quality tour and Excellent Service! We booked the 1 day tour to Petra. Mantis Tours arranged everything and pulled off an unforgettable day. We had an experienced, professional guide and a safe driver in an almost new van to and from Petra. The border crossing was thoroughly explained which made it easy. What to expect? A couple police checkpoints along the route to/from Petra. There were a couple simple questions at one stop but otherwise no real delay. The roads in Jordan were good in parts and terrible in others. The ride was comfortable thanks to the new van but it was bumpy at times. Petra was amazing. The food was very good especially for a formal tour. We probably should have booked a multi day tour. I think you could spend 3 days exploring this site but our guide worked through a schedule we all felt we could achieve in one day and helped us maximize our time. There are no words for this historical site. You must see it for yourself. Mantis Tours will guide you through it properly.

Jordon Tour We just returned to the United States this Sunday from spending time in Israel and Jordon. Mantis Tours arranged everything for us on our trip to Jordon. We were met at the airport in Eliat (Israel) by Mr. Mantis and driven to the border. Mantis Tours got our visas made all of the arrangements for our border crossing had a driver and guide waiting for us in Jordon. We spent four days touring Jordon, Petra, Amman, Jaresh everything went smoothly. Mr. Mantis arranged everything, he was recommended to us by a friend who had used him and I would not hesitate to use him again or to
recommend him to a friend.

Petra w dwa dni Lior, właściciel biura to człowiek godny zaufania. Bardzo komunikatywny, z dużym poczuciem humoru, szybko rozwiązuje problemy. Szybko reaguje na prośby klienta i elastycznie dopasowuje się do indywidualnych potrzeb. Wywiązał się z każdego ustalonego aspektu naszej wycieczki do Petry. Zorganizował też przeprawę przez granicę z Jordanią w taki sposób, że nie musieliśmy w ogóle czekać ( mimo że była dłuuuuuga kolejka ;-)).
Porada dla podróżujących indywidualnie:
Jeśli macie taką możliwość, to przy dwudniowej wycieczce do Petry zorganizujcie sobie dodatkowy nocleg w Jordanii (np. w Akabie). Dostaniecie decydowanie tańszy hotel niż w Ejlacie ( cenowo niemalże hostel w Ejlacie = 4* hotel w Akabie) a dodatkowo unikniecie Jordańskiej części opłat granicznych a to 60 usd od osoby.

Однодневный тур в Петру из Эйлата Народ, берите, не сомневайтесь. Ездили в Петру из Эйлата 2 декабря. Посмотрели, как намучились другие туристы от других операторов. Цена у всех одинаковая плюс-минус 10 долларов с человека, а вот отношение к людям - разное.
Нас вовремя забрали с отеля (не самого близкого) и привезли к границе. Там нас встретил Лиор, дал с собой рюкзачки с водой, перевел через израильскую границу, все подробно объяснил, и впоследствии вопросов никаких не возникало.
Между границами пришлось помариноваться, но всем. Потом перешли в Иорданию, и сели в 8-местный автобус. Наш гид Али говорит на 7 языках, иногда их мешает, но звучит круто. Шутки, прибаутки - и двухчасовая дорога пролетела не заметно.
Про Петру писать не буду - просто съездите туда, не жалейте денег.
На обратном пути Лиор встретил нас на границе, подарил сладости и сувениры. Мелочь - а приятно. Отвез нас к отелю. Все четко и слажено, без накладок.
P.S. По дороге назад в отель я выронил телефон в его машине. Обнаружил через полчаса где-то. Позвонил Лиору, он был уже дома, но оторвался от ужина и приехал с телефоном к нам. Ну просто красавчик!
В общем, я рекомендую!!! И да - бронировал тур еще из России, общение по воцаппу.

El primero fue 3 dias 2 noches en Jordania.
El itinerario se llevo a cabo tal cual como fue ofrecido. Los guias hablaban español muy bien y tanto el hospedaje en Petra como en el campamento Beduino fueron de primera calidad (no lujosos pero comodos y limpios).
Puntuales y serios en todos los servicios (transfers, asistencias en las fronteras, guias, paseos).
El segundo tour fue 2 dias 1 noche en Egipto.
Atravesar la peninsula del Sinai durante la noche fue una verdadera aventura, y el viaje en si no se nos hizo tan agotador. En Guiza y Cairo fuimos guiados por una guia egipcia que hablaba español y nos guio por los principales puntos de ambas ciudades.
Si vuelvo algun dia sin dudad vuelvo a contactar a Mantis y a Lior, que es un tipo muy responsable, serio y atento a todos los detalles.

2 day trip to Petra I just came back from my 2 day trip to Petra, which was amazing. And Lior made it even more amazing. Everything went absolutely smoothly, the hotel was basically next to the entrance to Petra, plus great lunch on the first day od the tour. When I came back to Eilat Lior waited for me on the border and welcomed me with a small dessert and some souvenirs. If you're looking for a reliable travel agency in Eilat, go for Mantis!

Great Tour From our first communication to the tour end, everything went perfectly.
Every question was answered by email quickly while arrangements were being made.
We were met at the border (we drove there and parked in the free lot right next to the border) and given food packages for the day (totally unexpected).
Instructions on exactly what to expect while walking across the border were spot on.
We were met on Jordan side by someone who then introduced us to the driver and tour guide who both went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The guides knowledge was superb.
The day went off without even a hiccup.
Of course, Petra was awesome.
